Nortel BayStack 460-24T-PWR Power over Ethernet Switch (Product #: AL2001A20) provides power to IP (Internet Protocol) phones, wireless access points, Net cameras and other devices, while maintaining 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connectivity with the convenience of using a single cable for power and VoIP traffic. Equipped with robust, industry-proven Quality of Service (QoS) functionality intended to eliminate latency in VoIP traffic, BayStack 460 is a resilient, secure, stackable switch that automatically recognizes device connection and provides power.


  • High-density Power over Ethernet switch, can be stacked up to eight switches in a stack.
  • Power over Ethernet to any IEEE 802.3af compliant device such as IP phones, wireless access points, network cameras, security and lighting devices, and access control devices.
  • Supplies power to devices up to 15.4 watts per port, meeting the IEEE 802.3af standard and more than sufficiently is able to provide power to devices per port.
  • Auto discovery feature, automatically recognizes the connection of a device and immediately sends power to it.
  • Dynamic power support, enables power consumption to be configured per port and power distribution to be actively monitored based on power current availability & port priority.
  • Active circuit protection, automatically disables the port if there is a short while other ports remain active.
  • Distributed MultiLink Trunking feature provides port aggregation and fail-over connections across different switches in a stack.
  • QoS-enabled to provide network availability for mission-critical applications - such as IP telephony - devices, and users by classifying, prioritizing, and marking LAN traffic.
  • Fail-safe cascade stacking design assures continuous uptime even if a single switch in the stack should fail eliminating a single point of failure.
